Sylvester's has a Wonderful Private Porch where one

Rock Away the Hours with a good book or great
Conversation!!
Sylvester's Study is named after
Sylvester Deming who owned the Deming Tavern
(across the
street from the Inn). His son, Martin Chester Deming, built the
Arlington
Inn as a private home in 1848 and Sylvester was
unhappy with him for building such
an ostentatious
house!
